Research Position in Technical Water Resource Management

Workplace Description

Technical Water Resource Management (TVRL) is a department within the Faculty of Engineering (LTH).

The department is in a strong development phase with many new externally funded research projects. During a transition period, some supplementary reinforcement is needed through the employment of part-time researchers.

Job Responsibilities

The main job responsibilities include:

  • Leadership of UNU Hub, collaboration between LU and the UN University.
  • Associate editorship, Journal of Water.
  • Advisory role for FARMWISE (EU-Horizon project).
  • Examination and supervision of PhD students.

Requirements for Employment

  • PhD degree.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Extensive experience in leadership for organizations and larger projects.
  • Experience collaborating with UN organizations in the water sector.
  • Experience in editorial roles.
  • Research experience in the field of water resource management.

Meritorious for Employment

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive, and independence, as well as how the applicant's experience and competence are assessed to complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department and contribute to its development.

Conditions

Fixed-term employment, 1 year, from 2026-01-01 to 2026-12-31. Employment rate 50%.

Start date 2026-01-01.
